Brían Mac Gloinn (Ye Vagabonds)
Brían Mac Gloinn is a, Singer, Musician, Producer, Arranger, and Music Writer from Co.Carlow. As one half of the duo Ye Vagabonds Brían and brother Diarmuid grew up playing music together around their hometown of Carlow, a small town in the southeast of Ireland.
After moving to Dublin in 2012, they quickly became a staple of the live music and session scene in Ireland, playing their own original songs as well as folk songs from Ireland, Scotland, England and America.
Brían has spent the last number of years Writing, researching, performing, recording, teaching and touring full time. Having toured extensively worldwide. Released Rose & Briar EP (2015), debut album Ye Vagabonds (2017) and award-winning album The Hare’s Lament (2019).
Signed to Rough Trade Records since Dec 2018, Brían has performed at a number of events on invitation of President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, including his inauguration in 2018. Opened for acts such as Lisa Hannigan, Villagers, Glen Hansard & Roy Harper.
